Dress As You Please

The Pupil Council arranged a 'Dress As You Please' day to raise funds for UNICEF.

RSPB

P3/2 had a talk from an RSPB Officer, linked to their project Feathered Friends, which they all thoroughly enjoyed, learning a lot about birds in the process.

Hiati Fundraiser

P6/5 organised a variety of events to raise money for the Hiati disaster appeal. These included a sponsored silence, Bring and Buy Sale and various raffles and tombolas.
To date the amount raised is well over £300.

P7 Transition Trip

P7 travelled to Peterhead Academy for a drama/music workshop funded by the Scripture Union, linked to the transitional programme to ease their move to Peterhead Academy.

Back to Normal - Finally!

The school was open for all pupils today but the icy playground meant an indoor break and lunchtime.

Back to School

School finally reopened (for village pupils) after an extra three days off due to severe snow and icy conditions. A warm welcome to Miss Kelly who has taken over teaching in P4/3 following Mrs Thomson's retirement.

All the Best for 2010 to everyone.

Christmas Holidays

The school closed for the Christmas Holidays.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all pupils, staff and parents.

Mrs Thomson's Retrirement Presentation

At the end of our Christmas Service Mrs Thomson was presented with gifts and a cheque to mark her retirement after 38 years at Port Erroll School, her whole teaching career.
We wish her all the best for a very long, healthy and happy retirement.
On the last day of term she was presented with a quaich by Mr Bruce Robertson, Director of Education, Learning and Leisure, on behalf of Aberdeenshire Council.

Christmas Carol Service

We were joined by a large number of family and friends for our traditional Christmas Service which took place in the afternoon and evening.
A collection was taken and donatioins will be made to Children First, Cruden Bay Christmas Lights Fund and 'Build a School', an African enterprise organised by Peterhead Academy.

P1 - P3 Party

All the children in P1 - P3 thoroughly enjoyed their Christmas party.

P4 - P7 Party

Pupils in P4 - P7 enjoyed their Christmas party. Music was provided by an ex pupil.

Bags2School

The P.T.A. Bags2School fundraiser was exteremely well supported.
