Mrs Ross’s Class Term 1 Newsletter
Welcome to the new school year and I’m delighted to report that everyone is settling in really well after the long Summer break which is fantastic and it’s been lovely to see the children again.
As you know, we approach planning in a different way in our classroom, responding to the children’s interests and needs, adapting and introducing activites according to our observations and interactions.
We will continue to explore all of the things the children enjoy as well as offering new opportunities for learning. You will be kept updated through Learning Journals two or three times a week.
As always, please ensure we have a supply of spare clothes as we do often get quite dirty. We do our best but having spares (more than one set if possible) makes it much easier to keep the children comfortable throughout the day and send them home as clean as possible. Don’t forget socks as well please.
LUNCHES
Please continue to provide weekly lunch orders on a Monday morning as it is really helpful to be able to put orders in before the children arrive at school.
I thought it worth a mention that most of the children only eat a small amount of the school lunches as they obviously only like certain parts of it. As a result, they are really not having much to eat at lunch time and are often still hungry.
If you could possibly provide a little extra snack on school lunch days, that would be great so we can ensure they are getting enough to eat.
NAPPIES
From now on it will be me contacting you when we need new nappies etc.
Please let me know how you would prefer to be contacted about this.
